Talked to Brian tonight in Winterset, he's home for a day then back to KC.

His Mom is still in intensive care, he don't know if she will make it or not. Not sure she knows if he is there or not. He has two older sisters that are there with him.

Had to give up his job at the Post Office, not enough seniority.

To make matters worse his Aunt died in her sleep last week. His Dad's sister.

He said, he'll just be laying low for a while. May be back into some of this stuff sometime down the road, not sure. He's trying to take care of his Moms affairs in KC.

He said, to say Hi and thanks for all the kind words.
His old cell number is no longer in service. I have an address if someone wants to write . . .

I was getting tires put on the wifes car this morning, and Brian came in to get some tire work done also. He said he is off to KC tomorrow, but will be back up here from time to time. He told me pretty much the same thing as AR posted above. He seems to be in good spirits considering everything he has had to deal with recently, he also said to tell everyone hi.

Well............. I guess I will give an update, even tho I don't feel much like it. What Art and Matt posted up is accurate. My mom is still in ICU and not responsive. The hardest part is waiting for a change weather it good or bad. My family is trying to accept the inevitable. As bad as it sounds.
My aunt did pass away in her sleep on the 17th and we are still waiting for the autopsy to find out the cause. Its not like you see on CSI and you get the results back in an hour. They said it will probably take 6 weeks before they know. So now we are waiting until than before we can lay her to rest.
I also did have to give up my position at the post office due to the extended time off that I am having to take off.
Then with all of this going on, Friday, Art and his brother Ray and Paul came out to my house to pick up some axles that he bought and after they left at 6:30 and before I got home at 8:30 my house was broken into. About $10,000 dollars in guns and all of my tools and equipment that was in the garage and allot of stuff in the house was stolen.  The police and I are pretty sure we know who done it even tho we cant prove it yet. To add insult to injury, he lives about 100 yards away from me and every time I look out my back window, I see him out side his house and I feel a deep urge to go out and choke the very life out of him. He is one of the town dirt bags and he just happens to be a neighbor. Every 5 minutes my wife has to talk me out of going over there and causing him tremendous amounts of pain. He will get his......
As if all of this wasn't bad enough, this morning I get a call from my wife who is crying so hard that I cant understand her. She say that the owner of the storage place called here and one of my storage spaces has been broken into. Well.....they basically cleaned it completely out and every tool and piece of equipment that wasn't stolen out of my garage, they stole out of my storage unit.
It gets better.......The only investigating officer the police dept. has is not going to be in until next week because his mother is having open heart surgery. No one else is able to look at my case.
And what is the cherry on top you ask..........This evening me, my wife and kids decide to go up to Des monies to grab a bite to eat and let the kids play at the play area in Jordan Creek Mall. Just to get our minds off what has happend.  So.... the kids play and we go get a bite to eat.
After a great meal we come out into the parking lot to find police and ambulances and a drunk 23 year old girl who decided to park her Honda accord on top of my ford f150 truck.
Apparently she was at a bachelorette party and drank way to much and decided to drive home. The cops said that she blew twice the legal limit and she had one DUI on her record already. The police said she ended up in the parking lot some how and they estimate her speed was about 60 when she decided to park her Honda in the front seat of my truck. And of course she walked away with out an injury.  R.I.P. white truck. You will be missed.

I think I am going to write a country song.
